A light aircraft that made an emergency landing this afternoon on the Umkomaas Beach sent people scattering for safety.
Shortly after 15:30 paramedics received the emergency call where people explained that an aircraft crashed behind the Umkomaas Golf Course.
When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the aircraft on the beach near the water with people standing around it. Two people believed to be the pilot and co-pilot explained to paramedics that they had to conduct an emergency landing.
