Collision Leaves Two Vehicles In Roadside Bushes

Two vehicles collided on the R56 at the Baynesfield offramp leaving four people injured.

A black Peugeot T-boned a white Golf as is was turning from the offramp. The impact was so severe that it sent both vehicle into the bushes off the side of the road. The white Golf came to rest approximately twenty meters from the road, and the Peugeot five meters from the road.

The driver and passenger of the Golf, two young ladies aged 20 and 17, suffered moderate injuries, one cannot remember the accident, while the other has severe shoulder pain.

Two of the passengers seated in the back of the Peugeot sustained minor injuries while the driver refused transportation to hospital.

All four patients were transported to various surrounding hospitals by road ambulance.

The Thornville SAPS were in attendance.
