Two people have been seriously injured while another two have sustained minor to moderate injuries after a collision involving two cars on New Greytown road just past Copesville this morning
ER24 arrived on the scene to find two light motor vehicles involved in the collision and both in the middle of the road causing traffic backlog. The driver and passenger of the one vehicle sustained serious neck and back injuries and needed Advanced Life Support intervention before they could be removed from the vehicle. The driver and back passenger of the other vehicle sustained minor abrasions and lacerations. All patients were stabilised by ER24 paramedics before being transported to Northdale and Pietermaritzburg Medi-Clinic for further medical care.
It is believed that the one light motor vehicle had come out of a side road and collided into the side of the other vehicle as it was passing.
