Woman Entrapped After T-Bone Accident

A woman in her thirties was left severely entrapped in her vehicle after a t-bone accident on the corners of West Lake and Sandpiper roads in Florida.

The woman's six year old twins were sitting in the back seat of the car when the accident happened. Fortunately they sustained moderate injuries only, both of them complaining of pain in their heads. It took Fire fighters with the Jaws of Life approximately thirty minutes to cut away the car wreckage to free the driver as the door and dashboard were severely damaged around her. She was complaining of pain to her neck and back, as well as hip region and lower legs, she also sustained minor cuts and bruises to her arms.

Advanced Life Support stabilised the patient on scene while she was being freed, and once out of the vehicle, she was transported by ER24 paramedics to the Life Flora Clinic in a stable condition for further treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries to her right arm, but requested later private transport to her local doctor.

The Roodepoort Metropolitan Police were in attendance and will conduct the necessary investigations.
