Garden Worker Thrown From Balcony.

A 26yr old male has sustained serious injuries after been thrown about 6m over a balcony of a residence in Westville this afternoon.

ER24 Discovery Medicopter Ground Support Unit was the first medical team to arrive on the scene. The owner of the house showed paramedics to where the man was. The patient was found lying on his side with a blanket covering him.

The patient was examined by emergency personnel and found that he had sustained a serious fracture to his leg and possible neck and back injuries. Advanced Life Support Intervention had to be performed on the patient while paramedics stabilised his leg and back. The 26yr old was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

It is believed that house had been robbed and the suspects threw the man over the balcony and fell 6m to the ground. The impact broke the man leg, the patient tried to get away but the pain was to severe to move.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would be investigating the robbery and the incident of the patient being thrown from the balcony.
