Man Shot After Attempted Assault

A man was shot by his employer at a residential house in Klopperpark in Germiston.

The man, who is in his thirties and was said is the family's gardener, was allegedly threatening to attack the employers wife with a knife and panga when her husband arrived home. It is believed that the couple were then further threatened whereafter the husband shot the employee with a small caliber hand gun.

ER24 paramedics on scene explained that the man had sustained a wound to either side of his head, but was alert and orientated. After assessment his vital signs were also within normal limits. Intermediate Life Support paramedics transported the patient to a nearby hospital where they were met by the Meadowdale SAPS. He was handed over to hospital staff in a stable condition, but further assessment of the wounds, and treatment thereof would be performed in hospital.
