Three Pedestrians Knocked Down By Taxi

A taxi, whose brakes allegedly failed while trying to stop at a stop street, has knocked down three pedestrians.

The incident occurred at the corners of Russel and West Streets in the Durban CBD.

Two of the patients examined by ER24 on scene, were complaining of minor injuries only, while a third, who's foot is believed to be run over by one of the taxi's wheels, suffered a possible fracture to that foot.

None of the occupants, or the driver of the taxi reported any injuries.

All three patients were stabilised on scene before being transported to Addington Hospital.
