Workers Injured After Bakkie Rolls

A Bakkie carrying workers overturned near Durbanville on Klipheuwel road, after colliding with what looked like a hatch back. The car was severely damaged in the front due to colliding with the side of the bakkie, which then overturned due to the impact. The intersection is allegedly known as the "doods kruising" to locals.

ER24 paramedics from Belville arrived on the scene to find the workers in the cold, wet grass on the side of the road. One of them had suffered quite serious injuries and was treated by the Advanced Life Support Paramedic. He had a possible break to his hips and abdominal injuries. The other workers were complaining of multiple aches and pains, but they were all in a stable condition when transported through to hospital. The two people from the car were also transported to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

All services were on scene to assist and aid with traffic regulation.
