A twenty six year female has been killed and a woman in her thirty’s has sustained critical injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in collided into a truck on the Ruth First ( M4 North ) and the Umhloti ( M27 ) on ramp this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle on the M4 up against the truck. The driver was found entrapped and in a critical condition. Paramedics tried to resuscitate the patient while she was still entrapped but unfortunately died on the scene due to her injuries. The passenger was found lying in the back seat in a serious condition. The patient was treated for possible neck, back and head injuries. She was stabilised on the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
