Three people are dead and another four have sustained moderate to serious injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled on the N12 about 25km outside Klerksdorp in the direction of Potchefstroom this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the Toyota Cressida lying in the road and all seven patients were found scattered around the scene, it is believed that the patients might have been ejected at the time of the accident. Three people, a male, a female and a young boy aged between eight and nine had sustained severe fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene.
The remaining four patients, a female, two males and a little boy aged five had sustained moderate to serious injuries. They were all treated for neck, back injuries and multiple abrasions. They were all stabilised further and transported to Potchefstroom General Hospital for further medical treatment.
