Two members of a Cash Transit Vehicle company were injured this morning in an alleged shootout with an unknown number of suspects. The cash van was followed by a supporting lookout vehicle. Both vehicles seem to have been pushed off the road when the drivers were injured.
Two men, believed to be in their thirties, sustained multiple wounds. One man was transported by another private ambulance service in a critical condition with multiple wounds to his chest, while ER24 paramedics transported the other who had sustained multiple wounds to his right arm. He was in a stable condition and was treated for shock and blood loss.
Further details surrounding the call are still unclear at this time, but the SAPS will be investigating the crime.
