A twenty one year male is in a serious condition after being knocked off his motor bike by a light motor vehicle at the Chatterton Circle in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the patient lying in the road and was being treated by an off duty paramedic. The patient had suffered possible head injury and a fracture to his shoulder. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient and transported to Northdale Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is unclear who was at fault but the necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the incident.
