Petrol Station Collision

An unfortunate woman, who seemed to be walking toward the convenient store found at the petrol station, was knocked by a car.

The woman in her early twenties suffered possible neck and back injuries after a man driving an SUV reversed into her while pulling out of a parking bay in front of the convenient store. According to eye witnesses, the woman jumped out of the way of the car after it had knocked her, and she collapsed a few meters away, seemingly in severe pain.

What happened next is unclear, but the driver of the SUV sped his vehicle around, crashing it straight into one of the pillars that holds the roof up at the petrol station. His vehicle was severely damaged in the crash. Fortunately he was not injured, but the Parklands SAPS were called to the scene, and they arrested the man for questioning.

ER24 paramedics loaded the woman into the ambulance and transported her to a nearby hospital where she will receive medical treatment for her injuries.

None of the other patrons to the station were injured in the incident.
