Monday blues started as a prop shaft lay in wait for its victim on the N3 south bound near the four level interchange in Durban this morning. As a young woman found out while driving to work.
Nearing the interchange the prop shaft saw its victim and attacked, smashing the side of the car before lodging into the windscreen. The driver was able to control her car before coming to a stop in the right hand lane. Other motorist were able to slow down. A SAPS vehicle came around the corner and could not stop in time and crashed into the back of the light motor vehicle. The South African Police Officers sustained minor injuries and were transported to Life Entabeni Hospital for further medical care. No other injuries were reported on the scene.
Traffic was severely affected due to this accident.
