A collision between a Nissan bakkie and a VW Jetta resulted in the death of one person on the R59, near the Johan Le Roux off-ramp, in Meyerton.
An occupant of the Jetta was unfortunately dead on arrival of emergency services. Another occupant of the Jetta sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Sebokeng Hospital.
A man from the Nissan bakkie was in a serious condition and was also taken to Sebokeng Hospital for further medical care.
The cause of the collision is unknown at this stage.
