A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on the M5, in the direction of Cape Town, near Kroombroom Parkway, in Rondebosch.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene they found a male patient lying in the middle of the left lane, he was unfortunately dead on their arrival.
A lady who was crossing the road with the man was treated for minor injuries and was taken to Groote Schuur Hospital.
Police cordoned off the scene and investigated the incident.
