A man died after being hit by a train near the Du Toits Station in Stellenbosch this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene the Fire Department was in attendance and had declared the patient, who was under the train, dead.
The female driver of the train was taken to hospital for the further management of emotional distress.
Police are investigating the details around the incident.
