Security Guard Slashed With Panga

The thirty one year old man was performing his duty on Tuesday morning as a security guard outside one of the restaurant come bar in Diepsloot Extension 1.

According to the local paramedics that received the call, a woman had allegedly attacked the man with a panga, and it is unclear as to what the connection between the man and woman is. It is also believed that there may have been an argument between the two.



The man appeared to be in severe pain, and was mildly combative, seemingly unaware of the treatment that paramedics were trying to provide to him. It was a relief though that he was still conscious and talking, even though his wounds were severe. He had sustained multiple deep cuts to his head, chest and back.


The ER24 Discovery Medicopter airlifted the patient from the Diepsloot Fire Station to a Johannesburg hospital where he will receive further treatment.
