A man to be in his forty’s is in a critical condition after been knocked down on the N3 north bound near Cedara by a light motor vehicle this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the freeway in a pool of blood. The patient had sustained severe poly trauma to his body and needed advanced life support intervention before they could stabilise him further. The man was transported to Grey’s Hospital in a critical condition for further medical care.
It is believed that the man was trying to cross the busy freeway when he was struck by a light motor vehicle. The impact caused him to be catapulted into the air before landing onto the road. The driver sustained no injuries.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the incident.
