Three people were injured when a truck overturned on Rhodes drive between Hout Bay and Kirstenbosch this morning.One of the patients was trapped in the truck and needed to be extricated by rescue crews from Metro Rescue and the Fire Department, a rescue crane was also used to assist in the rescue operations.
The trapped person, as well as two other people from the truck, all sustained moderate injuries and were taken by ambulances to Victoria Hospital. It is unclear at this stage as to what caused the truck to overturn. Rhodes Drive in both directions was closed while emergency services worked on the scene.
