A truck with six people on board overturned on Brackenfell Boulevard at the bridge going over the N1 earlier this afternoon.Two people from the truck were injured as a result of the accident, one person sustained moderate injuries and the other person sustained minor injuries. The patients were taken to Louis Leipoldt Medi-Clinic for further treatment.
It is alleged that the brakes failed on the truck and that the truck driver took the vehicle into the barrier to stop it from hitting the cars stopped at the traffic lights in front of it. The truck unfortunately broke through the barrier and the truck overturned into an open field at the side of the road.
