Thirteen school children have been injured this afternoon after the taxi they were in over turned. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a taxi lying on its side and all the school kids seated on the floor near the over turned vehicle.
Four students were treated for serious injuries while another nine were treated for minor to moderate injuries. The were stabilised on the scene and transported to various hospitals in the greater Durban area.
It is believed the driver of the taxi was doing donuts in the parking arcade while the school children were still in the vehicle. They asked him numours times to stop what he was doing, as they were afraid. Paramedics are appealing to the motorist to use better judgment after numours accidents caused by poor weather.
