A woman and two boys age thirteen have been injured after the vehicle they were travelling in left the road and rolled down an embankment and landed onto the R103 this morning.
ER24 arrived on the scene to find a light motor vehicle on its wheels with extensive damage to the outside of the vehicle. Three occupants, a woman and two boys were found seated on the road next to the wreckage. The woman was treated for serious injuries while the two boys sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were stabilised on the scene and transported to Pietermaritzburg Medi-Clinic for further medical care.
It is unclear what caused the woman to lose control but it is believed that there may have been some sort of mechanical problem causing the woman to lose control of the vehicle.
