ER24 attended to numerous motor vehicle collisions this morning, with some incidents resulting in patients sustaining serious injuries.In one incident a scooter collided with a car on Langeberg Road in Durbanville. The driver of the scooter sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Tygerberg Hospital for further medical care.
A pedestrian was hit by a car on the N1 near the Koeberg Interchange. When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man in a critical condition lying wedged under the steel barrier. The patient later died in hospital.
In another incident, three school children were injured in an incident involving a minibus taxi, a truck and a car, on Potsdam Road in Killarney Gardens. An adult patient was also taken to hospital from the collision.
