Three people sustained injuries after a bus allegedly lost one of its wheels on Modderdam Road near Valhalla Drive earlier this morning.
It is alleged that the bus was driving in the direction of the airport when its front right wheel came loose and went into on coming traffic. The wheel then struck a VW Golf with two occupants inside.
The Driver and the passenger of the Golf sustained minor and moderate injuries respectively and were taken by ER24 ambulances to Louis Leipoldt Medi-Clinic. The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was taken by a Metro EMS ambulance to Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital.
The bus was empty at the time of the incident.
