A driver of a dump truck is in a serious condition this morning after another tripper truck over turned onto his cabin. ER24 paramedics rushed to the site of a local dumping area too find two trucks, with one trucks bin resting on the crushed cab of the other.
The driver who was been treated by a first aider on the scene had already had his legs splinted and bandaged due to possible fractures. The first aider handed over care of the patient to ER24 staff and also gave a break down on what he had found and what possible injuries may have occured. Advanced Life Support intervention was preformed on the patient before been removed to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is believed that the two trucks were off loading sand and refused when the weight of the one caused the tipper to over turn on to the cabin. The driver of the truck was entrapped but was rescued by fellow workers. By looking at the damage of the truck it is a miracle that the driver is still alive to tell the tail.
